We went here to look around but the owner was extremely rude. He was eyeing us like we were criminals, then asked in a very rude and condescending tone "Can I help you?!" I mean if you can't take photos or touch things he could do so politely and maybe even have a sign. Then I read the other reviews that they're usually rude to people of color (we're Asians). I wanted to buy one of the compasses but got so turned off afterwards. I would not recommend going here and will tell all my friends and circles the same experience.

Owner is super rude. We are Asian and while walking in and saying hello to him the response we got is a cold look plus “no photos”.

When trying to ask him about a specific item, he literally made me repeat my question four times, my question was “excuse me, is this new or vintage”? And then I realize this is racism and he didn’t try to hide any.

Doug is always on point with his suggestions for flavor, aroma and taste for your palette.
I have been going to him for about 5 years now and always enjoy the smooth aroma when walking around in his shop as well as his friendly banter and conversations.

I am amazed at all of the negative reviews. I had a wonderful experience. The owner was friendly and very helpful. He suggested a specific pipe tobacco based off of a tobacco blend that i described. His recommendation was excellent and I will be ordering more of the same soon.

I initially went in to the store to browse the cigar collection for my upcoming wedding but noticed the large selection of pipe tobacco. As a novice pipe smoker, the gentleman at the counter answered many of my questions and helped me tremendously. I ended up leaving with a tobacco sampler they already have put together, my first briar pipe, and a little beginners guide pamphlet about pipe smoking and tobacco. I’ll definitely be back for my tobacco in the future.

Doug runs the best tobacconist shop experience one could ever hope for. He made my son and I feel so welcome and he treated us like we were old friends. Not to mention the stellar pipe selection which I was able to indulge in purchasing one free at a great price coupled with the most knowledgeable expertise in the business. Thank you Doug!
