What a special treat. My wife loves all things rock. We stopped expecting a typical rock shop and found out this place is so much more. Ava and her husband discovered the dinosaurs here and have fossils in museums all around the world. Ava has a dinosaur named after her. Both of the owners love sharing their knowledge. You better not pass this up.

Eddy, Ava, and their shop are just the greatest thing we stumbled upon! We had to make a (long) day trip to Cody and being the lover of all rocks that I am, I immediately spotted this place on the side of the road. Fortunately, on the way home, we got to stop here. I love, love, love rocks (and dinosaurs), but am, by no means, an expert on either topic. I learned SO MANY COOL THINGS today! Not only do they have a large selection of rocks, they have dinosaur bones, fossils of all kinds (dinosaur, fish, trilobite, etc.), teeth (dinosaur, sharks - including megaladon!), and jewelry and carvings out of all of thee above!! The only reason I left is because my husband said we still had a long drive home. 😒 I cannot wait to take some of my collected rocks back to Eddy and Ava for identification and education!!

What A Hoot! Ava even has a dinosaur named after her. Not sure which I liked better the rocks or the Owners! Can’t wait to come back! Best rock shop I’ve ever been in. The Owners are not for sale. 🥰

Our family had an absolute blast here! We stopped because our daughter's name is Ava and she loves rocks! The owners were so friendly and knowledgeable, they showed our girls some neat ways some rocks could glow and fun facts. They gave them some jelly beans that looked like rock and even identified some rocks my daughter brought in. What a treasure for the town. The owners wife even has a dinosaur named after her. How cool is that? A must see!

My annual girls hunting and fishing trip isn’t complete without stopping by the rock shop and picking up a few new pairs of earrings! This couple is so full of knowledge. I live in Colorado and they ask me where I frequent and mention spots in the area to find cool stones and fossils. They have very cool fossils and books too!

Avas has local rocks and rocks from everywhere. Jewelry. Very knowledgeable about Rockhounding from Wyoming. Very friendly couple. I love going to their store.

They are very professional about the minerals, and not only that, they know a lot about geological science in Wyoming, I think they are retired geologists. This rock shop has an amazing collection of minerals, fossils and jewelry made from rocks, price is reasonable, a must see if you are in Thermopolis.

If you are into dinosaurs or fossils in general - YOU HAVE TO GO HERE. Definitely do not miss it. The owners are extremely knowledgeable subject matter experts. They are very familiar with their stock - There is some amazing handmade jewelry.
