I have been a loyal fan of Byredo for years, with an extensive collection of their fragrances. Byredo has always been my go-to gift suggestion, so I was thrilled to receive Mojave Ghost as a Christmas present. However, as I already own a full bottle, I decided to exchange it for Bibliothèque.

Unfortunately, my experience trying to make this exchange has been deeply disappointing. My partner, who purchased the fragrance, did not receive a email receipt or gift receipt at the time of purchase, which I’ve been told is standard protocol. I visited the store with the product and proof of purchase from the transaction, but no one in-store was able to assist me.

We then contacted Byredo’s customer support, provided all the necessary details, and were assured someone would follow up within 24 hours. It has now been four days, and we have heard nothing. To add insult to injury, it was implied during this process that the perfume might have been stolen, which is not only untrue but deeply insulting.

At this price point, there are numerous options for luxury fragrances, and it is the service experience that sets brands apart. I expected much more from Byredo.

For others considering Byredo, I would recommend purchasing online to avoid these frustrating in-person interactions.

Great experience, a friend took me here and Demaris was so helpful. Showed me her favorite scents and helped me pick out the best ones for me. I'm now a fan and will be purchasing again.

I arrived at 7:30pm Saturday to pick up a specific candle I'd called about earlier in the day. The store was supposed to be open until 8pm, but the door was locked when I arrived. I waited about 10 minutes and knocked several times. No sign on the door. No mention of them closing early when I'd called earlier in the day. Eventually, I left and rushed to another store nearby to find a different gift for my friend's birthday that night.

Five Van

I had ordered a latte and was given old black coffee with milk this place does not know how to make coffee. If they can't make a latte there foods must taste like dog food.

The Levi-Tyler Experience

Ok ok, this is extra so please forgive me in advance! I came in on 3/4/2022 and was greeted by the fabulous Cameron (I believe that is their name, if not, I will figure it out and edit this review because they deserve their credit) Cameron took me through a scent journey (as they should have because they’re everything and I was trying to be - I am not with my new fragrance) was so patient with me, allowed me to smell maybe 10-12 fragrances, walked me through each of the opening notes (very knowledgeable which is important) and was just a kind person overall.

I've been talking about my experience for an entire day which is completely different from the Melrose store. Cameron has me thinking of ways to support them just because they were so kind and so welcoming. THIS IS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABOUT! It’s not about how much one spends, it’s about an experience and I had a great one and now an AMAZING new scent too. Thank you, Cameron and the entire team that was there yesterday.

Heard of Byredo but never had a chance to try it out. This our first time walking into the store for a little brand tour. Zoe was lovely, gave us a few recommendations based on our fav scents from Le Labo. Will be back for sure:)

I had a pleasant experience at this location. The staff person was extremely nice and helped me pick out a scent that will remind me of LA as I’m a visitor.
