Went in today for a cut, I haven’t had anyone cut my hair since before Covid. I’ve just been butchering it myself since it’s always in a bun anyway, no one can see the crap job I do. I should mention that I’ve always had a lifelong fear of haircuts as well due to a number of bad experiences where they cut it exceptionally short when I didn’t want them to. Like serious fear, worse than the dentist kind of fear. Anyway, I decided to take a chance because you can’t beat their prices and all students are supervised and I work nearby and they all are so nice when I run into them coming to work or going home. So I go in and the students excitement was incredible, I had a ton of hair for them to play with and I pretty much gave them license to do as they wished. Two of them worked on my hair together, helping each other and giving each other advice. They cut the dead ends off, gave me a tint and a blow out. They took their time and if the students were unsure of a move they always consulted the instructors. You’d think my past experiences would make me fear it because of their uncertainty but they were so determined to do things properly that I knew it would all be ok. They took their time, they enjoyed themselves, and I enjoyed watching them learn. When I was all done they seemed very giddy and kept taking pics of my hair to see how different it was from when I came in, their happiness coincided with mine. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would totally recommend to anyone. They did an incredible job and I’m extremely happy with the result.

I have been going here for over a year and always leave so impressed with each student and so happy with my hair. Lori is amazing and so skilled and makes sure to advise the students each step of the way. Blonding can be hard, but Designs School listens to what the client exactly wants and I honestly could not wholeheartedly recommend more. Ella did my hair today and did such a great job!

I had a good experience going here. Jenny’s instruction was probably the only reason I actually passed state board. You’ll get from this course exactly what you put in. Work for it and they’ll prepare you to get licensed. You won’t leave any beauty collage ready to take on the world, you’re lucky to have a degree. You made it, high five! Now go find a mentor

I’ve never been to a beauty school, but thought I’d give them a chance. I am incredibly impressed. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by amazing staff. Then Mel & Liz dyed & cut my hair. The teachers were professional & very helpful. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone

I had an appointment with Morgan today and when I checked in,I was told she was not there. I had no voice mail and no text to let me know and she was aware of the appointment. Very unprofessional. Asked for a refund for my gift certificate .Morgan, you need to be more respectful of other people's time if you want to be successful

Haircuts are good here but don’t dye your hair. You’ll have to provide your own dye and developer. I got the most permanent brand I could and asked for silver white bleach underneath. I got a color barely any lighter than my original virgin hair and in the end it looked like I didn’t even bleach it to begin with. More like I just put lavender highlights in when I wanted my whole head one singular color :/ I can’t wait to go to a professional to fix my now seafoam green/ grey hair.
