I completely recommend Mary at Essence Salon! I’ve been going to her for haircuts over the last few years. I even drive down from SF just to see her. The salon also has a nice ambience and kind and attentive staff. Included some before/after photos of how Mary fixed my hair after the pandemic!

Disclaimer: the hairdresser is my friend. Yes, my friend cut my hair. Ellie is amazing. She and my coworkers have heard and seen the disaster haircuts I have had. I went to walk in and very expensive salons. All terrible. I didn't want my friend to cut my hair but after the last disaster, what the hell...
Ellie: attentive and provided options. I don't have much hair. I wanted a feather haircut with bangs. I got it!!! The layers were very well done and blended. The bangs were enough to look full and can be swipe right or left.
Ellie is not your typical hairdresser. She is the best: she dry cut!!! I don't know too many hairdressers that dry cut. Ellie has the expert skills.
You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend Ellie.

I’ve been searching for a good hairstylist now for two and a half years. After getting my haircut from Christine, I can tell you I finally found one. She listened to all my concerns and desires for my haircut and gave me the best haircut I have probably received in my life. Usually after leaving a salon, I have to go home and shower and redo my hair but she even styled it the exact way I would have done it myself. I have never felt happier with a haircut and will be coming back. Keep doing what your doing, Christine 👍🏼☺️

Ellie gave me probably the best haircut of my life yesterday!! I'm absolutely obsessed, she transformed my entire look in a quick hour and I swear I felt my soul leave my body when she was washing my hair, I was in heaven!! It's so scary to trust someone with your hair, but I felt completely at ease as soon as I sat down and we started chatting about what kind of cut I was looking for. She knew exactly what to do to customize the cut for my pin straight, super fine hair, and gave it more body and movement than I ever thought was even possible! I have 100000% found my forever hair stylist, I can't wait to come back and see what else she can do! I'd trust her blindly to do whatever she thinks is best for me! I've been coming to Essence Salon for well over two years now. I always see Mary and she always does a wonderful job. Her work is fantastic and I'm constantly getting compliments on my hair! She's also super sweet & is great at understanding what you're looking for. My curtain bangs do not behave for her but she's always in good spirits about it! I definitely recommend this salon and I am always telling people from the area about it!
Prices are pretty reasonable for the area and the rest of the staff are very friendly!

Essence is a fabulous hair salon! I'm thrilled with my layered haircut. Fallon does an amazing job! She ​​knows what kind of layers would work best for my hair type​ and face shape​. I highly recommend Fallon!

Here’s my original review -

I dont recommend this place for a blonde balayage. They must be good at other things I’m sure. I got a blonde balayage almost a month ago and still wearing my hair in a bun. The money pieces were done so thick and look so ugly. Also I have an orange looking balayage instead of blonde. Huhhh… anyway, no hate. I’m sure they’re good at other hair stuff.

PS - Owner is a really genuine human being, he offered various ways to correct it. But I personally do not want to go for a third revision (to the same salon) within 45 days. I'll be going to a different salon.
