My son had a great experience here. The team is stellar and treated him like he was their own family. We had a few rough days and they were amazing with keeping me in the loop and making sure to carry out my wishes. He was diagnosed within the first month of what his mental health issues were and they treated him according to what they thought was best for him. They gave us a lot of materials for us to educate us about his disorder, and educated him on what it meant and how to move forward.

I am beyond grateful to Evolve my child is 10 months clean ( no SH ) she has amazed me with their emotional maturity , watching them navigate the up’s and down’s of middle school and life in general is just confirmation that sending them to Evolve was the right decision, even though very difficult! I am forever grateful that they were able to teach my child the tools to navigate this world!

Stayed here for a few months in 2020 and had a genuinely horrific experience. For starters, staff was extremely transphobic. Continuously used the wrong pronouns and deadname for a patient, saying they refused to use “nicknames.” Another morning when they turned the heat in the house all the way up and blared a megaphone siren next to a patient’s bed after they had anxiety about the day and trouble getting up. If we tried to tell our parents these things or anything negative about the facility, our 10 minutes of daily phone time would be ended. The head of staff seemed to thrive on putting the girls against each other and making the environment competitive. Truly an awful representative of DBT and traumatizing experience.

Edited 3/24/23 to add they've recently been posting about respecting LGBTQ+ kids pronouns/identities and how it benefits their mental health. I feel the need to emphasize that they advertised as LGBTQ+ friendly when I was there, however they repeatedly disrespected trans clients saying they wouldn't honor "nicknames". It's ridiculous to see these things posted now after the blatant harm they caused during my stay.

before i begin what i am sure will be a huge waste of your time, i will make clear to you what evolve is, since l i t e r a l l y no other websites explain anything about their program.

it specializes in the following;

depression; anxiety; bipolar; substance abuse; ptsd (and coloring mandalas yeehaw) among other mental health and substance issues. i struggled with most of that oof but i am at least 2 stars more improved if i was a yelp review. (i assure you that the yelp review for evolve would be 5 for everything else EXCEPT you can take flowers indoors. that would be a 0 star)

rcs: hated them but now i dEepLy care about them
therapist: showed me how powerful clocks are to angsty teenagers
faculty manager: i swear my bpm said i was dead, but she said i was not. [(RESPOND IF THIS REVIEW (wait can you do that) IF YOU KNOW WHO SHE LOOKS LIKE)]
chef: think of a food you hate. go to evolve. fav food i SWEAR.
trainer: she has a gym i 11/10 suggest it
other offsite: dope will suffice to say. (the surf instructor is cute)
psychiatrist: if you know how to spell your talks with him will probably be more effective than mine.
clients: S/O TO THE FIRST ALL GIRL GROUP! love all my boot gang girlies <3 now i must go as i have a fellow client (yay!!!) on the phone. enjoy the mess of a review i have made. i recently stayed at evolve for 33 days. it was hard, hard work. but i would not trade my experience and friends and skills i have made for anything. my therapist was wonderful, as i continue to see him in the near future, the food was both healthy and filling, always keeping track of our calories and prevented us from any eating disorder slip ups. we worked out every. day. it was the best kind of exhausting. from strength, to yoga to boxing to surf to horses; everyday we had a new kind of way to stay healthy and fit, and more importantly feel better about ourselves because we are making a difference in our body and soul. if you are looking for a place where you are treated fragile, this is not the place for you. we are not to be treated fragile, as life out there in the ¨real world¨ is not going to treat you fragile. i suffered in this place. i had losses, uncovered health concerns, fights and parental stress. as i left evolve 2 weeks ago, i walked out smiling and crying. smiling because I GOT TO GO HOME AT LEVEL 3... and leaving with the fact that i will never experience this kind of treatment in such a good facility ever again. i continue to keep in touch with fellow clients, staff members and trainers/outside workers that worked with us consistently. if your child or you are, (my position oh so recently) is looking for help, i recommend evolve. we all HATED it. but nothing i have ever hated helped me so much and turned to a loving environment so quick. except for parfaits; our chef is a m a z i n g. this is really long wow. i care about u :)) -sophiE rose *not elise

they said they would send me the letter i wrote to myself in 3 months, it’s been 6 and still nothing, they also don’t respect preferred names and it’s rare for them to respect pronouns, a worker there said she wanted to hit us bc we were being annoying, we reported her ofc and we never saw her again, the only good thing about that place is the people you meet, and that’s not always promised
