Updated review. First time I went there the haircut was fantastic. Prices are comparable to other Bay Area salons, but both hairdressers are skilled, and pleasant, will provide advice if needed. So your hair will be well taken care of. Today I added some pink flair. I worked with Lin, she is very professional.

I think this is the most underrated hair saloon in this area. They are highly skilled, fast, and listen to your request carefully. Because they are super efficient, it’s almost always okay to book an appointment with short notice (even on the day). I understand that other saloons in this compound might be offering you more - more time, more attention, more “emotional service” - but this place is perfect for people who want a nice haircut easily, quickly, inexpensively, and with no hassle.

Move from San Diego in January. Had a great pixie haircut in San Diego from January until now, I went from Salon to Salon to Salon. None of the stylist knew the technique of a pixie cut. I went to Happy Salon in Redwood City,and Bingo!! I found the one stylist,Lynne,who had the expertise to recreate it from a photo. There is another stylist whose name is Tune. I observed his work,and I witnessed excellent haircuts. I finally found my place!!!. Melody

The haircut I got was good and quick. I was able to make a same day appointment which I appreciate. The stylist was not chatty at all which is fine, but she didn't ask any follow-up questions at the end of the haircut about the length or check in to see if I was happy with it. It was a decent price for a women's haircut around here - $35 - so I may be back, but it definitely wasn't a perfect experience.

My go to salon for the past 12 years since their start in Redwood City on Main Street to their current location on Broadway inside Sola Salons. Beyond excellent job doing my hair with Japanese straightening and coloring. The owners, Lien and Tung, are so nice, professional and easygoing. The prices are great and the quality makes it well worth the cost. I will never go anywhere else.

Great little salon inside of the Sola Salon Studios. I was able to get a same-day appointment during the week. For $35, I got a wash, cut, and partial blow dry. I was really impressed with the prices. The stylist was really quiet, checked her phone a few times, and even made a call while she was in the middle of cutting my hair, which I thought was weird. I also had to wait 15 minutes after my appointment time before the stylist was ready for me.

Great place for a decent haircut. If your looking for a place as hair salons reopen, Happy Salon is the place to go. Very impressed with how clean the place is kept, totally kept equipment clean as the hair cut goes on. I certainly felt comfortable getting a haircut here. I got mine done by Tun, surely knows his stuff.
