First of all, hometown pharmacy here in Monroe, is and always has been a local family pharmacy formerly known as village or, the village pharmacy. Quite a quaint name, and very fitting. Jenny, must have a photographic memory, or is actually that empathic, efficient, and kind, because she remembers literally not only each person, but the relationships that are so intertwined and interconnected amongst the community and serves us with the respect and a care that a small hometown pharmacy should. Thank you, hometown, pharmacy, staff, and especially Jenny for her attention to the details that you don't get at any of big box store pharmacies... 💯🫶🏾💚

Exceptional service. It was near closing time and we had a mix up with what the doctor sent to be filled after being discharged from the hospital. Carrington went out of her way to help us get what we needed. The pharmacist was patient and kind in filing what was needed without complaint after a busy day and so close to closing time.

My family and I have used Hometown for 20+ years... unfortunately we will NO LONGER be using them due to the new female "manager". She is absolutely awful to deal with! Rude, unhelpful and believes it's ok for her to play the doctor. She will put meds on hold because she simply dosen't think you need to take them or "don't need then now", you call in a script and when you go to pick it up it's lost, wasn't called in or there is some other issue and this all started when she was brought in. HOMETOWN please consider my review and other recent reviews... this lady is absolutely horrible for your business and we are not the only family who will no longer be using your pharmacy because of her. Customers for 20+ years that have 50+ scripts filled per month lost. She has zero customer service skills and is one of the most disrespectful people I've run into or had to deal with. Nasty looks, rude comments. Come on you guys are better than this!

I've been coming here my whole life the staff is always amazing!! I love the text messages thay update me on the status of my prescriptions & the convenience for a drive through pick up is unmatched!!

Had a prescription sent here and showed up 2 hrs later. Was told to wait because it wasn't taken care of. 2 hrs and 15 minutes later I had half of my prescriptions and was told to come back tomorrow. Fast forward three hours and I'm getting a call saying they can't fulfill the prescription and I need to call around and that no one else would be able to fulfill it. Called Walgreens and they helped when this operated pharmacy could not.

Edit* these spiteful people have refused to transfer my prescription that I desperately needed. I waited 3 hours before going to where it was suppose to be transferred and it wasn't. I called hometown pathetic back and they said they would send it. I asked how long would it take and they said 20 minutes. I went back to the other pharmacy 30 minutes later and it wasn't even sent.

I called them a few weeks ago to ask about a specific medication. I was told by a female who answered the phone that my medicine was in the system for 2 weeks and nobody filled it and didn't know why and didn't feel it until I called them and asked about it. Just called them today about another medication and about the situation that happened last time and completely got the runaround. The man tried to say he didn't understand my question regarding to why my prescription wasn't filled for 2 weeks. I am definitely switching pharmacies now because there was no excuse to what they did. How are you not going to answer a very important and valid question regarding my medication on why you did not fill it out even though it was in your system? This was disgusting. As a pharmacy, disgusting.

I changed my previous 5-star review to a 2-star. I had nothing but problems ordering my diabetic shoes. I dealt with Cindy. Something was always missing paperwork wise and blamed my doctor's office, and I had already been speaking to my doctor, and the lady is handling the paperwork there so then she blamed in on Hometown pharmacy's fax and phone lines. I would suggest if your in this kind of business you might want to get those issues fixed. Hometown would never call me about delays, and I would have to call them, and of course, she said: Oh I had your file on my desk to call you" While it was closing time. She then said I called your doctors office twice to get the prescription and they never called back. Then She finds the prescription while I'm on the phone with her dated like three weeks ago. Funny that was when I last stopped in there to get fitted, and she said she needed just to call and get the script and she could order them. Guess she received it and didn't know about it or did nothing with it. I was just called today to verify that my diabetic shoes had been ordered. Guess not. Was considering ordering my medical lift chair there but think I will just order it online after all this.

On a side note, the have a lot of neat local Michigan stuff in the store. I was impressed. Two additional gripes were I bought something at another medical supply store and paid $2.00 for the item and here it was $5.19 I told them that they are pricey for one of these. The other item I stopped in to see if the sold large emesis basins and they don't. What medical supply store doesn't carry a larger vomit tub as they give you at a hospital that's a large emesis basin technical name.

After dealing with Chris the Manager and ordering my Golden Lift chair the price and his customer service was great so I am raising them up to a 3 star review. If I was just rating the chair it would be a 5 star rating but since I had the other previous issues to take into account I can only raise it to 3 stars. My chair is outstanding. They delivered it the day they received it.

This has been my pharmacy over 50 years and I have never been more disappointed with this place now for the at least a year, several different mess ups, even the wrong medication in my prescription bottle!!!
