I did skin tightening treatment on my visit today, the skin esthetician was Jennifer. The service here was really good. They have a machine to first analyze your skin and give you treatment based on it.

The shop is nice and clean. The staff here are friendly and very attentive to your needs. I highly recommend!

Cyro freezing. Hana took very good care of me. She explained the process and it was great. Everything was fine until the manager started showing me packages. I simply declined and her whole attitude went from friendly to get the hell out. I understand sales and the need for agreements, but trying to force it is a turn off. Great work Hana, but I won’t be back.

Lola spa is the best place on Cannery Row! They have tons of organic, cute soaps, that make for great gifts. The manager Rice is the nicest ladies in the building. She is so sweet and is always taking care of me and my mom when we come in.

SCAM ALERT!! BUYER BEWARE!! Lola Soap Cannery Row / Monterey AKA Lilly Beauty Spa. They have multiple locations using different names as well. NO REFUNDS! DON’T PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION…AND DON’T SIGN ANYTHING, ESPECIALLY ON A TABLET…IT’S A TRAP!! You are signing a “NO REFUND” CONTRACT clause. Lola/Lilly will NOT give you a REFUND and you will lose any dispute with your Credit Card company! Lola/Lilly has an “F” rating on BBB with multiple unanswered complaints. Search “Lola Soap BBB Complaints” to find BBB complaints and negative Yelp Reviews. My experience happened at LOLA / Lilly Beauty Spa in Cannery Row/Monterey on 3/26/23-3/27/23. Let me state that my friend was with me on both days, so I have a witness to my experience.

1) False claims – Rosie said the Introstem eye cream ($299+) was a 2 year supply and the results would last 5-7 days per application. FALSE! The eye cream worked instantly in the store, but the puffiness returned 6-8 hours later. Then you find out later about the “No Refunds” policy. I get better results from Preparation H or baking soda.

2) No Upfront Pricing – The price is a moving target depending on how much you resist.

3) NO REFUNDS!! This is a high end retail store with no refunds. At NO point in this entire transaction did Rice mention a “no refund” policy. She waited until we were about to leave, to slip the receipt(s) into the bag versus handing the receipts to us directly. This seemed like a further attempt to obscure the “no refund” policy, which is printed at the bottom of the receipt(s).

4) I found out about the “No refund” policy when trying to return the infrared device and unopened creams within 24 hours of purchase. Rice asked for my receipt and pointed to the bottom of the receipt which stated “no refunds, exchanges within 14 days”. We also then discovered ONE small sign stating “No Refunds” HIDDEN BEHIND A PLANT.

5) Lack of Customer Service – When I tried to get my refund, Rice became unprofessional and lost all sense of customer service. Since Rice refused to resolve the issue, I left the product on the counter. So now I no longer have the product, nor do I have a refund. Rice called the owner while we were in the store, but did not let me speak to him. I emailed him, but he never responded back. He has even gone so far as to deny that I am a customer of Lola/Lilly. The actual storefront is “Lola Soap” but is operating as “Lilly Beauty”.

6) No Copy of “Contract/Refund Policy”. I asked Rice multiple times for a copy of the paperwork I filled out. She dismissed my concerns saying I would get the paperwork via email. Lola never sent me any paperwork. WARNING! DON’T FILL OUT ANY FORMS, ESPECIALLY ON A TABLET. You are consenting to the “No Refund” policy. You will lose a credit card dispute by signing.

7) USED DEVICE - Rice HERSELF opened a NEW device and handed it to me while I was in the store…so that it became a “used” item. Then to fight my credit card dispute, Lola stated that “I” opened the device. FALSE!

8) Bait and Switch – When Rice opened the NEW infrared device and handed it to me, my friend and I both realized it was NOT the same one used in the demonstration. Rice dismissed our concerns, saying it was a better version.

9) No Written Warranty – The infrared device supposedly worth $10,000+ has NO WARRANTY…and NO REFUNDS When asked about a warranty, Rice said not to worry, they will take care of any issues. If the product is good, they should be able to offer a written warranty AND refunds. Even infrared devices bought on Amazon for $200 offer warranties and refunds!

10) Rice indicated that I had to be approved for credit PRIOR to telling me the price of the device. I thought she was running a credit check. I didn’t realize that I was actually opening a CareCredit/Synchrony Back credit card.

11) Solicit Review – Before leaving the store, Rice wanted me to write a review. I declined and I’m glad I did. Now, all I can do is try to warn others to stay away!

Jennifer is absolutely gentle in doing my face treatment. It is my first time in Lola soap place and I like it. Good customer service and I’m planning to come back here for another plan treatment.
