Finally made my way over today, as I had heard Yvette at this location was a top notch massuez from there, & I left impressed/relaxed. Brandy, the manager there, was extremely helpful on the phone. I'd recommend arriving if you're new about 5-8 minutes before to ensure you can fill out the quick paperwork. Don't be fooled by the older reviews before Brandy took over. From what I understand & saw myself she has given this location a breathe of fresh air the last year.

Went with the Deep tissue massage for 1 hour. Yvette found knots I didn't even know were there with 10 years of experience & a people first energy.

Receptionist personable and friendly, therapist the worse! Ive gotten massages in many places states, countries and cities. Tye therapist I got tonight would stop me from Ever coming back to this place. She was dry, no personality, as if she didn’t want to be there. And their 30 min service is actually about 18 minutes! It has to be one of the most dissatisfying stretches I’ve ever had! . Im really flabbergasted by her demeanor. I dont like that type of energy touching my person. Energy transmutes. Going home burn some incense and do a chakra cleansing what a waste!

I’ve been a member at this Massage Envy for over a year and when I decided to cancel, I did so thinking eventually I would come back — excusing the fact that no one told me becoming a member was a year long commitment.

I went in mid-September to cancel, where I filled out the paperwork and scheduled what was supposed to be a final appointment. They never booked my appointment and they processed the paperwork several days after I signed it, pushing them to charge my account again after it was supposed to be canceled.

I called for weeks after the fact to have it resolved, for them to tell me the manager was the only one who could fix it — except every time I called she wasn’t there.

My massage therapist, Yvette, was outstanding and the estheticians were also great. But the way they handled this was so bad, I can’t justify giving them any more money.

I feel this business is being dishonest in the checking out / tip process. I can only recommend it after warning of this practice. We pay $80 a session as a member. Those are not heavily discounted prices. As a matter of fact, I would claim the upper end and not a good value. I would not go if I did not have the pass. Upon checkout a screen pops up with 18%, 20%, or 22% approximately. This is being based off of a non-discounted rate that is 30-50% more. NOBODY pays that elevated rate. To base the auto tip choices on it is predatory if not bordering unethical. Fix it! Bad ethics will always come home to roost. On an $80 service, a 20% tip of $16 is fair. Two visits ago I was just going through the motions while checking out and saw the 20% selection and took it. Right then I saw that my tip charge was in the mid/lower $20's. Not cool but not willing to make a big deal at closing time.

I feel taken advantage of. I don't feel it is the doing of the front desk. This is an ownership problem. If they need to use this deceptive practice, I would question of they are fairly paying their therapists.

I don't want a phone call, a justification, an apology or anything less than the practice stopped. Show the customer their invoice on the screen and let them do 4th grade math. We can't trust you.

This sadly has tarnished the entire experience for me. I would have gladly given my therapist more. The front desk lady was great. This one issue is a "burr under my saddle". Deception is so much worse to me rather than simple theft.

I had a gift card and despite all of the negative reviews, I still went. It wasn’t the worst massage, but it was pretty low, bottom 2 for sure. It felt rushed, fast movements, not consistent pressure, not in sync, not enough oil/lotion. I would never say anything to them, that’s not like me. Just a gentle thank you, and no I would not like to book another appointment. She rang me up and charged my car on file the difference. Total $105, gift card $55, rang me up for $50. But here is the strange part. When she asked for the tip and I said I will put it on my card, she rang it up and I had to tap my card for the tip…now, this is shame on me for being over it and ready to get home….i just clicked the 20% and didn’t think much of it until I stop the next day, and think, $36? That’s not 20%. The math isn’t mathing here. Again, my fault for not doing the math at 7pm after a lack luster massage. But, I just tipped 35% for a massage that left me feeling like a dry hand job. Not asking for the refund, should have done the math before I clicked ok, instead of trusting that little 20% button. It isn’t the persons fault they aren’t well trained in the art. And I understand massage envy is like going to dollar general because you don’t want to drive to Publix. But, second rate at best and then a scam to get extra money. No thank you Montgomery massage envy!

Management is extremely rude, massages aren’t of good quality. Total scammers. Same person owns the Auburn location, would avoid this as well. Save your money. THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU. Also if you decide to risk your money on their sub par services, make sure to document the names of every person you see. Despite being able to provide the exact date that I submitted my cancellation form I was told that I was irresponsible for now knowing the name of the employee I gave the form to, and was told they refused to look up who was working that day…

I booked an appointment online for the Eastchase location and was so excited for my first massage. I show up for my appointment and the front desk person said I missed my appointment. I was very confused since I had just booked the appointment the day before and very clearly remembered booked the appointment for that time and day. She asked if I received a confirmation text and I told her no but I had the confirmation email. I show the email and she apologizes and says that the online booking service is sometimes faulty and doesn’t book correctly and that I should always call to book. So I tell her no problem, and I ask if I could go ahead and reschedule to the following week. We get scheduled and the next day I check my bank and I see that I have been charged $70 for the “missed appointment”. I call and speak with the front desk employee (who confirmed that she was the same person that I spoke with in person the day before) and ask if that charge will cover the new appointment that I set up and she said “no, we charged you because you missed the appointment.”
Why in the world would someone get charged a no show fee if the online booking service didn’t communicate with their systems correctly?
Lastly, she got irritated that I was asking why would I be charged for something that she admitted was a website issue and she told me that she would have to let someone above her handle it and I would get a call back. It’s almost 3 days later and I have not been contacted.
I am not circulating my money into a business who can’t even give me a timely update.
Massage Envy got that $70 out of me but never again. I will never recommend this company to anyone.
