I’ve been taking the little boy I care for to this BJJ academy for the past five months, and I can’t recommend it enough. His progress in self-confidence and motor coordination has been truly remarkable. He absolutely loves his time with Coach Abrao and Coach Pedro, who are both incredibly patient, skilled, and great with kids. This is such a fantastic place for children to build not only physical strength but also important life skills like discipline and resilience. Pedro and the coaches at MBJJ are simply the best! My boys have been doing jiu jitsu with them for over a year. It is hard work but it teaches them discipline and respect, and Pedro makes it fun, super engaging and is always focused on safety. Highly recommend to both boys and girls

Excellence at its finest.
I have been attending classes for a few days and have already noticed a major improvement in my self defense abilities. I’m a fairly small guy and this martial art has greatly improved my confidence. Coach Pedro is an excellent teacher, he goes into detail with each position and technique when teaching. He puts plenty of energy to his students and really expresses his enthusiasm.

My husband trains and we knew we wanted to sign up our daughter as soon as we could. This is the only place that allows children as young as 3 to train, every other gym we’ve gone to start at 5 typically. I’m glad they offer the “little samurai 3-6” classes. It’s 30 minute classes so it’s perfect for their attention span. They make BJJ fun for the kiddos, teaching fundamentals while playing games. Professor Pedro and coach Abraham make the learning environment feel safe and inviting, especially for my shy 3 year old. They have helped her learn and open up class with their light heartedness. We also have my 12 year old in their older kids classes. Compared to other gyms, he’s had the most fun here while also gaining confidence. There are many kids and preteens here, making it so there is a variety of skill levels so everyone learns and has fun rolling. We are fairly new to the gym but so far it’s been our favorite and hope to continue. I also love that they have kids classes for both age groups everyday which allows our family to go as often as our schedule allows us to

Coach Pedro is SUPER AWESOME! We have had the privilege to work with him in CT and both the kiddos and my husband who trains were extremely privileged to learn from him. He is kind, patient and has so much knowledge! While he’s in CA now, we hope to be able to train with him again in the future!!
