Beverly went above and beyond for me today. I needed 3 packs of door hinges. She showed me where they were in the store. They only had 1 left. Then she called another store and said they have the other 2 I needed. She said she was going to another store and that she would get them and call me when they arrived. They arrived and I was able to put my bathroom and bedroom doors back up in the same day after painting. Thank you so much Beverly! Every store needs people like you.

I had a very disappointing experience with Ace Hardware and will not be shopping there again. I tried to return unused extension cords still in their original packaging, only to be told they wouldn’t accept the return because they were “hurricane-related” items. I found this policy unreasonable, especially since I had no issues returning a similar item to Lowe’s and even a generator to Costco without hassle.

If you work in an essential role that requires you to prepare for emergencies and be away from home during natural disasters, think twice before purchasing from Ace Hardware. If you end up not needing the items, they won’t let you return them, even if they’re in perfect, resellable condition.

While staff is quick to help, went to return a grill that was unopened and still sealed. I was told I couldn’t return it because it was hurricane related. Yet no grill left in the store and I told the clerk you guys can sell it someone else. Their restocking wouldn’t be in for 3-4 days. Yet when I purchased the grill, there was no signs about return restrictions and I was not warned at the time of purchase I could not return it. As a consumer I have the right to terms and conditions of my purchase. Not making up rules when you feel like it. And as someone who suffered damage and additional repair costs from the hurricane the refund would have helped me out a lot and someone else still without power could have benefitted from purchasing it when not a single grill was left in any local stores. I won’t be a returning customer.
