This place is amazing. They have saved my life twice now. I’ve been to many facilities before and none of them can compare. From the quality of all the details like snacks, food, rooms, outdoor areas to the excellence of the staff and professionals that are committed to helping you. The level of care I have received there has given me a second, third chance at life. I would recommend to anyone to use this facility to better your life.

ALL of the therapists at passages are amazing! Passages saved my life and helped me return to my true self. If you genuinely want your heart and spirit to return to you and you arrive with your mind wide open you will find peace and the inner strength to help you free yourself of your addiction and return to the person you were born to be.

This is copy of an email I sent them after taking someone there: Hi XX, you are really good at your job! Passages Ventura looks nothing like the fantasy you tried to sell me. You said to me it looked like a Hilton. Even the cheapest of Hiltons looks like a Four Seasons compared to that place. It’s more like a psych ward combined with a Motel 6 and it smelled like it, too. The bedroom you kindly reduced to $5,000, looked like a closet with a window, nothing remotely like the pictures on the website.The staff is under qualified to even welcome people into the facility. My xxx wasn’t to meet with the doctor for a few days (why? I wondered) and in the meantime we were told they would be given benzos! (why? They are already addicted to enough stuff).They also explained that during detox they would had to walk to the nurses station to alert them if they needed something. That’s is so unrealistic, especially if you’re being paid to look after someone during a very trying process. You knew they were ready to go to treatment and you made us waste a whole day going all the way to Ventura under false pretenses. You guys should be sued for deceptive advertising and ineptitude. Hope one day you realize there are better ways to earn your money than to take advantage of people in need. Thank you for spending so much time with us, so sorry we didn’t make you a penny.

Passages saved my life, it doesn’t even feel like rehab. The counselors our absolutely amazing. I highly recommended this place to anyone who is trying to get clean. They really focus on the root of the problem. The therapy and groups will make you look at life in a totally different way.

They left me in detox room alone vomiting all over with no help. Had me come in for intake and I drove for 2 and a half hours to get there, they turned me away when I arrived. I slept in the front of the locked gate for hours. I used all my money getting there. They didn't once check on me. They told me I couldn't intake until the next morning. Next am they had the manager come and stop the intake because I was having a panic attack and they wouldn't admit me. I was going to ask for a refund for the traveling expenses. Trashy place and liars. Un educated nurses and teenage staff. Food is pretty good though

I appreciate your response to my concerns. It's good to hear that you are going to train your staff with higher education about the detox process. I was there to get help, not to be turned away at night especially since I had an appointment at the time that I had arrived. If your staff and nurses don't have any compassion, you can't exactly have an educated class to make them have common human nature to be respectful to patients. I will NOT contact your facility asking for reimbursement for travel and board expenses. If you feel that would be a desirable outcome for us, I would appreciate it. Costs for rides were over $300.00, hotel was $80. You have my address and number if you feel so kind as to try to meet the expectation I had originally had for passages. I really do hope you retrain your staff so it doesn't happen again.

The assistant director at Passages Ventura refused to call me by my pronouns and insisted that I was not transgender. It has taken me years of therapy to try and resolve the whiplash this crude and unprofessional statement has caused. This person was not specialized in gender health, who is she to tell me I am not the gender I identify with. Especially after legitimately respectable institutions have supported my gender identity and shutter when I tell them about my experience at Passages Ventura.

I was a patient at Passages in Jan 2015. It was a life changing experience. Yes it is an insurance racket, but what treatment facility isn't? However, the staff was great and my counselors were amazing. Out of 20 people I went through the program with we did lose 5 to relapse and death, which is very sad but unfortunately their demons won the battle, relapse is extremely high at any facility. As for me I've stumbled over the years but I use the tools I learned at Passages to get back on track. What I loved about Passages is their Holistic approach, I was open to that, I couldn't then and I can't not follow a 12 step program, it's just not my thing. I recommend Passages to anyone who WANTS to be sober, without the want no place is going to work. As for me personally, I stumbled in a lost soul and they helped me get on track, I now am a successful Realtor with a beautiful 3 year old daughter, I think I can confidentially say I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Passages, thank you ♥️
