I can’t even begin to describe how much I enjoy getting pampered at Salon 955! Erin is amazing and always captures exactly what I’m looking for ! As a busy mom I don’t have the time to maintain a bright blonde style but I love to have lots of dimension in my hair color, I go 1-2 times a year & my hair is always looking great in between visits thanks too her amazing product Recommendations That I can easily purchase at the salon, I highly recommend, this salon is always very relaxing. Every stylist is so welcoming , I love that every time I leave I feel so refreshed and I look and feel fantastic!

I don’t know what took me so long to do this. I have been going to Erin Garcia (co-owner) for at least 15 years. I spent a year searching when I first moved here from LA. I approached 2 different women and asked them who cuts and colors their hair. Both said Erin. I knew it was a sign. Erin is exceptional at meticulously threading your hair to make highlights look completely natural. She also does an amazing haircut with texturizing, if you have curly hair like myself. The reason I am finally writing a review for Erin is because today I asked her to do things a little differently. And she absolutely nailed it. I have dark brown hair and I told Erin that I don’t want to look like I have blonde hair because we all know that I have brown hair. I asked her to keep my hair dark brown while at the same time giving me a chunkier caramel colored highlight. Erin has never given me chunky highlights because that has never been what I wanted. So today when I asked her to go outside the usual box she absolutely killed it. I love my hair right now. Also let it be noted. I am 100% gray, so the color you see it’s all Erin . Did I mention she also does an amazing haircut? Be mindful that it will take you a while to get an appointment. But, she also has a great staff that can cover your needs if you need work in a pinch. Run, don’t walk! Happy chunky highlight summer.

I've been a customer of Salon 955 for several years. My stylist, Kelsey is an absolute rockstar! She's friendly, supportive, and always flawlessly delivers exactly what i'm looking for in my haircut and hairstyle.

Salon 955 itself is in a great location in downtown Lafayette right across from Trader Joes.There's a private metered parking lot right behind their building you can park at. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by one of the team members who will check you in and offer you a beverage. It's a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming salon!

I just had the best experience ever getting a haircut from this place. Hilda helped me and all the ladies were so nice and welcoming. The place is clean and Hilda did a great job with my hair. She was so patient with me. I was scared to cut my hair. I haven’t had a haircut with another person in years and we had just moved in the area. It really was a wonderful experience. So accommodating. I asked if we can do little by little and she was so understanding. Very kind people. they even had a welcome packet for new clients. I am so grateful I found this place. Thanks to google maps ;).

Best hair cut in years! Everyone in the salon is friendly and helpful. Mary has cut and styled my hair twice now; asked and listened to what I wanted. She is very skilled and I could not be happier. They have a nice selection of products too.

I have been coming to Erin at Salon 955 for the last year or so and it's the first time in my life I can say I have a regular hair girl! She does awesome highlights, but her haircuts are the best I've ever had. Anywhere!
I'm really a rubberband and ponytail girl at heart, and that's the easiest way to keep my hair out of my face when I'm working, but she is my motivation to actually use nice products on it so that it feels great and looks healthier, and now I'm spending more time styling it and wearing it down occasionally too!
She is truly a specialist at layering fine, straight hair, and making it look full of body and depth.
I love when my friends compliment my hair and someone notices right away every time she adds new highlights. I also love referring friends to her. AND when I had almost given up on the perfect birthday gift for mom this year, it dawned on me that a super nice hair appointment is a great way to spoil someone you love. And so now mom is a regular too! The highlights in her red hair look natural are the prettiest I've ever seen on her.
I love this cute salon and all the great conversations I get to have with Erin every 7 weeks or so!

I found Kelsey at this salon on Groupon, and was excited to schedule highlights and a hair cut just a couple of days before leaving for Las Vegas back in January. Over two hours of sitting in the salon gave us lots of time to talk. I told her I was excited for my boyfriend to see me with a little blonde in, since I'd been with my natural brunette since I met him. Also mentioned that other times I've had highlights I've been unhappy with brassy tones, and the girls who do the best jobs have told me I need "lots of purple" to get the brightest highlights.

Once Kelsey had finished and the toner had set long enough, she took the foil out, and my hair didn't look very highlighted. She assured me it would brighten more over the coming weeks, but I was leaving for vacation in two days. I did absolutely love her hair cut though. It was really cute and it encouraged me to leave me hair down, rather than in a pony tail, but my best friends in Vegas with us didn't even notice my highlights! Actually, nobody has.

We went to the Grand Canyon a couple of weeks after Vegas, and there was no noticeable different.

I called the salon a couple of times but it's hard to match my schedule with hers and I ultimately gave up. I posted a picture from both Vegas (indoors) and Arizona (outdoors). No matter what the lighting, my hair is still dark brown. Kelsey mentioned she was going for more natural looking highlights, but if I wanted my natural color, I would've saved the money and spent my 2 hours doing something productive. I really liked her personality and conversation, loved my haircut, but hated the non-highlights that I had really been looking forward to.
