I recently had a very disappointing experience at Dr. Ulery's office. As a healthcare professional myself, I understand how important it is to ensure smooth patient interactions, but unfortunately, this visit fell short in every way.

I was informed by the staff that I had an outstanding balance, which I was unaware of, as I had never received any statement. I found this very peculiar, as this was only my second visit. The staff member claimed the statement was sent electronically, but when I asked if there might have been a typo in the email address, the staff simply read off the email on file instead of allowing me to verify or correct it. This lack of communication was frustrating and unhelpful.

In addition, I was told I had a $60 copay for my visit. I have not paid a $60 copay for specialists in the past. I requested to be billed for the copay because of this. I was told that I needed to pay the copay or I would not be seen. Unfortunately, I did not have my debit card with me. I asked if I could reschedule this appointment due to not having a payment method on hand. I was told that there would be a $50 rescheduling fee, which I would be billed for. I went ahead and rescheduled because there was no other option for me.

Given that I work in healthcare, I can appreciate the challenges of managing patient concerns, but the behavior I encountered was uncalled for. While I understand that offices need to maintain policies, the manner in which this was handled felt excessively rigid and unprofessional. If the staff member had allowed me to provide my correct information to resolve any discrepancies, I could have avoided a situation like this in the future.

Disappointed in this doctor. Explained what’s going on with something and I definitely left with more questions than answers. Towards the end of the visit I expressed my frustration with the doctor and still no attempts to find out answers. Wasted money on the visit and in all honesty they should refund. Complete waste of time when my schedule is already tight. Never again with this clown

I have been treated here for years for Psoriasis. They keep it at bay, and have worked with me to help ensure that my insurance will cover my treatment. The only negative is the wait time. I wish it did not take so long to get in and out. Otherwise very good Dr. He is a super nice guy, and is very professional.

I have been a patient with Skin Care Associates for many years. I have had multiple cases of skin cancer and the doctor has always been very helpful and willing to take the time to talk to me about my concerns. One of the best things about this office is that if I find a suspicious mole I can call the office and get in within 1 to 2 days. That is very important to me.

Went there for a skin tag. That went well. Paid for that service. Six days later I get a bill. My insurance and I were billed for something that I did not go in there for. It was billed all because " he brought it up and it was written down in file". No conversation was made from my end on what he said because the information he gave me was all voluntary. Saw no need for questions after. Again, not what I went in there for.

If I COULD GIVE THIS OFFICE A NEGATIVE STAR I WOULD. DO NOT EVER GO TO SKINCARE ASSOCIATES PC IN MONROE, MICHIGAN!!! THE OFFICE MANAGER IS RUDE HORRIBLE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICES JUST OUT RIGHT NASTY!!! I would suggest no one go to this place. They're very UN-knowledgeable and will wrongfully charge you. I will never come back this place it was waste of my time and money. THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOUR INSURANCE AND YOU!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM SKINCARE ASSOCIATES PC IN MONROE, MICHIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
