No, just don’t give yourself a headache. The term “you get what you pay for” is accurate when it comes to this place. I’ve been coming here for years and every time I do, there’s some sort of issue. Whether it’s with the exam, picking up glasses or contacts, it’s never without issue. My fiancé and her son had an issue on several occasions last year, with several appointments mysteriously disappearing. I have never had a seamless visit here. Something always goes wrong. I simply kept coming here to save a couple of bucks, but in the end our time is our most important asset and it’s not something that we can purchase more of.
1) opener showed up late and it was everyone’s and everything’s fault but hers
2) one of the machine wasn’t working but we moved forward regardless because “it’s not that important”
3) when I finally made it to the room, I had mentioned that it wasn’t my first time and she thanked me for being a return customer, and yet still made me sit there and watch the introductory video that I’ve seen at least a half a dozen times. Something was also wrong with the computer and we couldn’t proceed with the exam. No one knew when it would be fixed.
4) as I was leaving, I inquired as to what I should do next, and I was told to just call in and make a new appointment. The right thing to say would’ve been, “ I apologize for the inconvenience, and especially my tardiness I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you, I can give you a call to reschedule your appointment once our system is up and running again.”

I could go on and on. Im not trying to drive a bus over anyone. Simply take pride in your work, do it for yourself and not the company. Had you showed up on time you would’ve known there were issues and could’ve had them resolved.
I feel awful leaving this review and I simply wouldn’t have if there had been the slightest absolutely smallest bit of empathy shown.
At the very least a simple apology for wasting my time and I wouldn’t have left this review.

If anyone does decide to reply, I am not interested in coming back, I’m not interested in the discount, I’m not interested in anything for free. I’m just expressing my frustrations, along with the frustrations of my family. You are a multi million dollar corporation, DO BETTER!

You’ve known about these issues for years. I went back and I checked your reviews. This is nothing new. How long does it take for you to look into something and rectify it? I have the exact same issues as many, many other folks. Stop using the same copy and paste method for your responses, we aren’t dumb . Stop being lazy and give a shit about your business. *

Had a great experience here getting a new contacts perception. Special shout out to Elizabeth Hidalgo the DT Lead, she went above and beyond helping out answering all of my questions and making sure I was getting the best care - I will be coming back for the exceptional service alone! can’t say how grateful I am to have snagged a last minute appointment on the day of! After having an appointment at Walmart being stuck there for OVER an hour without seeing the doctor I ran to Stanton. Liz was AMAZING. Checking me in, letting me know about any deals they had helping me with choosing glasses and contacts. Can’t say enough how much these ladies helped me out. Ordered contacts and was lucky enough to go home with new glasses right in time for my trip. These ladies are kind, attentive and truly care for these clients coming in. 100% will be coming back

Unfortunately my previous optometrist retired a couple of years ago. He took care of my eyes for nearly a decade. Going to Stanton was my 2nd attempt at finding a replacement. 😕
I needed a contact lens exam. Suffice it to say, I'm still looking for another optometrist next time need an exam. If you want personal, attentive service don't go here. The exam is done without the physical presence of an optometrist which I didn't realize until I was taken to the room for the exam. Patients should be made aware of this immediately upon check in. I feel as if this fact was purposely hidden. The wait time was horrendous. They were out of a sample for my prescription contact lens. Plus they tried to force me to buy 6 months of contact lens without trying the prescription sample first. I had to tell the guy, "No!" twice before he accepted my answer as final.
Not the service I'm used to. Ask questions about the exam upon arrival so you know what you're getting into. Pro side, the guy who checked me in and did my pretest for glaucoma was friendly which made this bitter pill a little easier to swallow.

No insurance, no problem. I don't have insurance anymore, and they took good care of me, and the lady used my old prescription for anti-glare and anti-scratch. Even though I didn't tell her but she was super friendly and went and did it anyways.

Stanton in Oceanside is the absolute best place for glasses. They are kind, considerate and help you find the glasses you need at the price you can afford and the staff is wonderful as well
