Whether you're looking for a safe place for your kids, social time over coffee, the weight room, pick up basketball, or just to relax in the hot tub, sauna, or steam room, the Y is the place to be.
As a long-time member, there is a place for everyone to feel comfortable and engage. In addition, they have multiple 5ks, bike rides, and special events throughout the year that are super fun!

Oh can't forget the GREAT cause the YMCA promotes. Through their annual campaign they raise money to provide free feeding programs, child care, financial assistance, and so much more.

10/10 recommend.

We stopped on our way up through the UP to Mackinac Island. We had to use the bathroom so we decided to stop at the Veterans Memorial Park where we ran into a nice lady running the Pop Up Picnics. She insisted we have lunch on our travels. I’m glad we did.

Not very clean, super outdated and the workers are so rude we have only been there 3 times and each time it is so bad and my youngest is special needs so I tried explaining how difficult they are with adjusting and they didn't give 2 craps Its disturbing how many weird rules are in place.. I feel like they must have alot of issues. Starting with the fact there are cameras in the locker rooms.. just creeped right out by this place its not an environment friendly to children especially not to one's with disabilities. If going good luck. And skip the pool.

I always loved the YMCA. They have a lot of gyms around here nowadays, but the good ol Y has so much more to offer. Plus they have classes, and recreation, and plenty of other options. Fun for the whole family. You can go there and get involved. Check it out, and I promise you will not regret it. It's a great spot for birthday parties too for the kids. 5 out of 5 kitties absolutely love the YMCA.

Love this place for kids. Has great potential as kids need an indoor facility, but there are a few issues. First of all, parents aren't watching their kids, letting then run around doing as they please.The staff member there today was not much help instead encouraged rough play with older kids while toddlers and younger children were playing.
Which brings me to complaint #3. Why are their older children running loose around with younger children in the area Kicking balls into the air, (one kid did that and hit me with this big red ball), pushing each other down into other people, running and jumping onto tumbling blocks carelesly where younger children are playing harmlessly. It's just dangerous. Is there no other room available for older children? How about setting up certain days and times for different ages?
If there is no other room, then staff should be more helpful in discouraging rough play. Instead she was egging them on, chasing after them. She was running around and she herself was careless and almost ran and slid into a mother with a little baby she was feeding. The mom had a scared look on her face as the big staff member almost plowed into them. 😱😳

It was ok, mostly just convenient to where I lived and had nice desk staff

Then I lost my job and had to deactivate my membership, when they asked why I was cancelling my membership I told them I was unemployed and unable to make my bills. I was then informed I had cancelled too late and would be charged for the next month even though I was cancelling on the first business day of the month but I was welcome to continue using the facilities. (Which I hadn't used for almost four months prior due to major illness and couldn't use.)

My bank account fell below the minimum balance when their withdrawal went through two weeks later.

So much for building a stronger community.
