I LOVE THIS SHOP!

Seriously, I call it the Mecca of all refill/zero waste stores. I’ve toured the country and visited dozens of shops all over the nation and nothing compares to the selection and prices of Nada.

It’s incredible.

Samantha, the woman who owns the shop, is doing a fantastic job and I make it a point to visit any time I need to refill my personal care items. And I always wander the selection to see if there is anything new calling my name.

Whether you are new to the concept of reducing consumable waste products, or a seasoned sustainability master, this shop has what you want and need.

Seriously, I cannot say enough glowing things about the business. Please, do yourself a favor and scope out your favorite new zero waste store, you will not be disappointed.

Bamboo toothbrushes (sometimes I just buy them to gift to friends).

And these are just the things I buy. There are so many more items available.

One of the gals in the shop introduced me to face mapping with the mask clay. Worth checking/trying out!

More shops should sell products this way, reusable containers less waste. nice simple store, wish they display price more openly on lable so I dont have to keep asking the staff.

If I could give zero stars I would. Local Scoop/The Nada Shop I was so excited to stop in the shop and check it out. As my father and I were walking thru the Lumberyard I noticed the shop. I had heard of shops like this with no packaging in other countries but I did not know we had one in town. I have lived in Carlsbad for over 30 years and have spent a lot of time in Encinitas. Unfortunately the customer service was so unwelcoming I had to leave before I could even enjoy the idea of the store. I was not greeted when I walked in. The store was empty, no one else was in there but the lady at the register area had such an attitude, I guess whatever she was looking at on her cell phone or tablet was more important than her 1 possible customer. I walked up to her to greet her and explained that I hadn't been in there before all she said to me was, "...we've been here four years. We now carry grocery items..." points to the grocery area and then went back to doing whatever was so important at her tablet/cell phone. As I'm looking around, within probably 3 minutes, at the most, a family walks in. OH yeah! She greeted them! They explained it was their first time in the store. She asked if she could help them find something and they said they were just browsing. She then comes out from behind the register desk area and starts to give them the pitch of the store. She says, "....so you've never been here before, we are..." and explains the concept of the store. That is when I left, because apparently I wasn't worthy of the speal, my Carlsbad $ is not good enough for her Encinitas store. HI! Pretty Women movie experience.... "...big mistake....huge!" I will never go in there again, you have kissed my Carlsbad $ goodbye. WOW! Just looked thru the other reviews with low stars, same experience as I had, the lady with the big blue eyes. You need help in C.S. !!!

I don’t normally leave reviews, but super bummed by the customer service and lack of communication with this company.
I love their products and ordered a refill of their hand soap. It’s been almost a month since I placed my order and have yet to receive it. I also contacted them three different times throughout the month (via email, their chat system, and contact form) and still have not received a reply from the company or received my order :-/

The Nada Shop is my go to for cleaning supplies. I needed laundry soap. I have my own container I bring in. The person working there filled it fo me and I just pay by the ounce. No wasted packaging or container. The same with the spray cleaner I use. I have a glass container they fill it and I pay the ounce. Very friendly service too.

I found The Nada Shop shortly after moving to the San Diego area and am so thrilled with them! The store is in a great location and always smells amazing. 🙂 I love having the ability to not only reduce packaging waste, but to feel good about what I’m putting on my body at the same time. I love the idea of this shop! Loved the hand soap, lavender scent was great. Purchased dish soap and was a bit disappointed by the lack of lather, it seems a bit watery and separates easily. Also purchased a gallon of conditioner, lemongrass scented. It works great but the scent is really overpowering. I fell like too much was added. Also, your pricing sheet is really hard to read in the shop, a larger one would be much more helpful. All that being said, customer service is great and I am so happy that a shop like this is available. I will keep returning and refilling.

I love coming to Nada and recommend their products to my friends and literally anyone who listens! I recently saw they were doing a make your own sugar and salt scrub. It was SO fun! I ended up making my own scrub used it that same night and then went back the next day to make one for my friends for her birthday. I love how personable the shop is and the option to get to make your own things! Such a neat idea!
