Think again before Think Clean Cleaners. Save yourself from my unfortunate learned experience of taking a cotton dress and vintage Christian Dior Cashmere scarf with label fully secured on the scarf. Be warned, this may be a fine place for simple laundering, but DO NOT bring a quality piece here with anything resembling a designer label. It may be removed with no condolences.

The dress was a simple stain. I found it odd when the stain was not marked and taken away for cleaning. At retrieval, the stain was still there, which was not surprising. When pointed out, I was told, "oh, we missed that". Now having had the stain set in with wash, dry and ironing, I had little hope the second wash would remove it. They gave it another wash, and it came out, thankfully.

The greater issue was the scarf, vintage Christian Dior cashmere from my late grandfather. Upon pickup, the label had clearly been cut off with fine scissors. Had it been ripped in the wash, there would have been damage and holes from where the stitching secured the label. There were no holes or damage, just complete removal of the previously well-secured, sewed-on vintage label. When pointed out that the label was no longer there, and asked what could have happened, I was met with blank stares. Giving benefit of the doubt, I asked, do you have a little box where you keep labels that may have "fallen off in the wash", she went back to go look, returning, with "Sorry, I do not have it." No further comment or offering when my disappointment was expressed.

I had wanted to use my neighborhood cleaners, but I have learned that this business may be best suited for only simple wash-dry, not for higher-quality pieces with enticing labels.

I have used Think Clean for laundry and cleaning for approx 20 years and always been perfectly satisfied. Mimi has done all my alterations all these years as well, from simple hemlines to complicated fittings on high end lux/designer clothing. Her work has been impeccable and to the highest standards. She and her team always have the cleaning and/or alterations done when promised. And it is forever a delight to go into her shop, as everyone there is friendly, professional and courteous, even London her adorable pup.

Over priced!
For years I took my laundry to a wash & fold place in san rafael. I always took 3 pillow cases of laundry &it always cost $35-$45. They did a good job & clothes were ready in 2 days. When I moved to Mill Valley I decided to try Think Clean. I took the same amount of laundry - 3 pillow cases full - to think Clean. It took them 5 DAYS to do the laundry & they charged $78! Way too much money & way too much time.
